Wood Badge Weekend (1 of 2)
Where: West Kent

A non-modular approach to the Adult Training Programme. To join this course participants must have already validated Getting Started (modules 1, 2 & 3) and be available to attend all three training days. Information on the course content will be passed to the participant’s TA and LTM and TAs will be expected to meet with the participant to validate course content in between days 2 and 3. Participants will then need to validate day 3 & First Aid learning before a recommendation for the award of a Wood Badge can be made.
First Aid Training
Where: Southborough

First Aid training for Adults in Scouting as part of Wood Badge training and Ongoing Learning

Leaders, managers and supporters in Scouting must hold a current first aid qualification at the time of gaining their Wood Badge and at the appointment renewal. However, they are encouraged to keep their qualification up to date at all times. This course is open to all adults in Scouting but please ensure you discuss with your training advisor to agree that this training is right for you.
St Georges Day

The biggest event in the District Diary, and always guaranteed to be great fun as we meet for an afternoon of great adventure.
Funday

beavers and Cubs from across Tunbridge Wells will join thousands of others at Gilwell for a funday with loads of activities - once again the district will be organising the transport and tickets to this event
JAWS

Scouts from across the District will travel to Whitstable to enjoy a day on the water, powerboating and jet skis are just two of the activities on offer
Getting Started Training
Where: Southborough

Getting Started is made up of three modules, which need to be completed before you can be fully appointed. Getting Started needs to be completed within five months of receiving your provisional appointment and is part of the appointments process for your role. On this day we will cover Module 1 and introduce Module 3 which you can then complete offline in your own time.

Module 1: Essential Information This is the basic information that all adults in Scouting need to know. It briefly covers the Fundamentals of Scouting, the key policies of The Scout Association and the support available to adults in Scouting. It is important that you receive this training as early as possible.

Module 3: Tools for the Role (Section Leaders) This contains some basic information about the role and practical help for working within a section. The module covers the key features of the section and how to run suitable games and activities.
Legoland

Beavers, Cubs and their families will be able to enjoy a trip to Legoland at hugely discounted rates - and with transport provided this is a great value day out.

Remembrance Parade

Once again we will be parading in Tunbridge Wells for Remembrance Sunday. Meet opposite the Town Hall steps at 10:20am. Full uniform but coats can be worn if cold/ wet
Drusillas - Santa Trip

Beavers from across the Town will get the chance to go an meet Santa at his Drusillas home, after a meeting with santa the rest of the day is spent exploring the park before seeing the magical winter light show before returning to the buses and heading for home. All Santa also promises to write back to each Beaver who writes to him as part of the visit.
